Garden Therapy Standing Board Committee – Sue Milojevic and Gina Sennello

The Garden Club offers flower arranging workshops to residents of the Oak Park Arms (Arms), seniors in their Adult Day Care program and other interested persons. The sessions are held every other month, September thru May, at the Arms on the third Wednesday of the month from 2-3 p.m. with a maximum attendance of 25 persons. The sessions are usually filled and often have a waiting list. The March 2020 session was canceled due to the corona virus lockdown. Susan Milojevic, Gina Sennello, Co-Chairs

The Garden Club has received five awards from the Garden Clubs of Illinois. One of the awards was tied for 2nd place for our Garden Therapy program conducted by Sue Milojevic and Gina Sennello. (July, 2020)

The Garden Club of Oak Park and River Forest is pleased to provide garden therapy to the seniors at the Oak Park Arms Retirement Community.  If you wish to help with the project please contact Sue Milojevic at A willingness to help others and enjoy creative flower arranging is all that is needed, no particular skills are required.

Regular flower arranging demonstrations and hands on activities are offered to residents of the Oak Park Arms Retirement Community, 408 S. Oak Park Avenue, Oak Park, Illinois.
