Garden Walk

Annual Garden Club of Oak Park and River Forest and FOPCON Garden Walk

The 28th Annual Garden Walk will take place on June 26, 2022 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Seven private gardens and one community garden in the Oak Park and River Forest communities are featured. This is a joint project of the Garden Club of Oak Park and River Forest (GCOPRF) and the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory (FOPCON). The proceeds are shared between the two organizations. The GCOPRF designates their proceeds to fund a yearly scholarship program. Last year GCOPRF funded two scholarships for Oak Park River Forest High School seniors. FOPCON proceeds benefit the Oak Park Conservatory projects

This is a year round project beginning with selecting gardens for the following year, immediately before and after the Garden Walk.

Committee Responsibilities: Sets the date, seeks out and selects gardens, produces the Garden Guide, solicits advertisements for the Garden Guide, coordinates volunteers and plans a reception for garden owners and volunteers.

Special Thanks
The 2021 Garden Walk Committee offers a sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this annual community event a success: the advertisers, those who donated prizes, and the Park District of Oak Park for their support. We would especially like to thank Marc Linne, the graphic designer who has for years offered his time and talent to create the Garden Guide. We are grateful to our gardeners for sharing their unique spaces and inviting us.
