Native Orchids in the Garden
Have you ever imagined having orchids as part of your home garden? We will discuss options and opportunities to integrate North American native orchids into the home garden, ranging from easy-to-grow species and hybrids to more challenging types. The care and maintenance of orchids in the landscape will also be discussed. Scott Stewart, Scott.Stewart@MPFdn.org
The one hour presentation will begin at 1:00 PM. An email reminder will be sent to the registered members a week before the event; a sign-in link will be sent on the day of the program.
Members may share the link with friends, but no email links will be sent from the club to non-members.
New members are always welcome. To attend as a member please click Membership and join.
Zoom Program Information
To sign into our Zoom program locate the email with the link to the meeting. It is also helpful to write down, on a sheet of paper the meeting ID, and the Passcode, just in case. Click the Join Zoom Meeting address. This will bring you to a waiting room until the program starts.
It is a good idea to sign on early (15 minutes or so) to make sure your device is connecting. If you cannot connect by clicking on the link, you can go to Zoom.us/join…
If you are joining from a mobile device (Android smartphone/tablet, Apple iPhone/iPad) then it will simply prompt you to download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app from the App/Play Store.
If you are joining from a computer for the first time you will need to download a small application file.
If you sign on with Google you will need to enter YOUR Google password.
We look forward to seeing you at the program. Yes, we will see each other unless you opt out of your video. Your audio will be turned off by the host/program speaker. Questions to the speaker can be typed in the chat bar. These will be answered at the end of the program.
Lighting
It seems best if your lighting is in front of you, not from above or behind.
You can check your lighting by using your phone camera in the selfie mode to check your lighting ahead of time. Position your monitor for the best angle.

The presenter, Sabine Oberberger, is a floral designer and the owner of Blumen Floral Inspirations, SabinesBlumen.com. Extra ordinary floristry is the final touch to any exquisite celebration. She will create lovely floral arrangements for our program. The floral arrangements will be raffled after the presentation.
Sabine holds workshops where guests create their own arrangements. She also designs for events, such as weddings, holiday gatherings, and birthdays. Contact by phone or text 708-860-2250; E-mail info@sabinesblumen.com.
Join in the annual hat parade tradition. Members have been wearing decorated hats to the luncheon for more than fifty years.
