GMO’s-You Need to Decide for Yourself

GMOs, now called Biologically Engineered, are plants bred for improved characteristics and abilities as plant breeders have done since Mendel crossed those peas for the very first time. What is different is how that is being done. Breeding techniques have shortened the start to finish times by years. Ultimately consumers will decide if these plants are acceptable for themselves and family.

Mr. Hentschel is an educator with the University of Illinois Extension.

12:00 PM at the Cheney Mansion, 220 N. Euclid Avenue, Oak Park, Illinois. Social time and a brief business report will precede the one hour presentation. The presentation will begin at 1:00 PM. Free parking is allowed on the street.
